Empty deskAttendance is Important!
We can't teach an empty seat.

Tardiness and Absenteeism are affecting our students and their achievement. Teachers cannot teach an empty seat!  Currently 29% of our students are TARDY on a daily basis and 26% of our students have chronic absenteeism.  Please help us to help your children by getting them to school on time.

Please remember that school starts at 7:50 a.m.  after that time your child is considered tardy. When students are tardy they miss the opening of school and the beginning of reading and mathematics.

During the month of November we are going to work on decreasing absenteeism and tardiness.  Students that are at school on time will receive rewards and be recognized throughout the month for being at school on time.  By the same token, students and whole classrooms will also be honored for no absences or tardies during the week, month or grading period. Therefore, please bring your child to school on time every day, even if they have an appointment.  This will not only decrease tardiness for your child, but it will keep your child from falling behind in reading and math.
